Regular Street Rides: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The starting point is the Gelson's Market parking lot, 2734 Townsgate Road, about 500 feet east of Westlake Blvd., just west of Village Glen Ave. See the map page.
Arrangements have been made to park in Gelson's parking lot, and to meet there for refreshments (refueling) before or after local rides such as rides around the lake, or between laps. Please park away from the building, preferably in the northeast corner of the lot (to the left of the main entrance from Townsgate Road). The start-off meeting should be held in that same area where we park, to avoid interfering with motor traffic in the lot. We have our later refreshments and chit-chat at the tables on the front patio.

distance of the local rides varies from 4 to 19 miles.
The regular local route around the lake is as shown on
the map, but with variations according to how the group
feels, and frequently subgroups will venture to other
areas for variety. The rides now start at 8:30 am. In the winter some riders start at 9:00 am, November 1st to April 30th. During periods of unusual morning temperatures the start time may be changed. Every effort is made to give notice of changes, such as in the newsletter and by email to regular members, and in this website. |
